The inaugural Marysville Sparkling Wine Festival is held over the week leading up to the Melbourne Cup.

The main activities on the Festival calendar are the Australian Sparkling Wine Show, where the best sparkling wines in a variety of classes are chosen, a Gala Dinner and the wine festival itself, held in Marysville on Saturday before theMelbourne Cup.

The festival is a day of food, wine and entertainment held on Marysville Central Park, in the main street of Marysville and nestled in the surrounding hills. Sparkling wines, local food and produce can all be sampled. The hills come alive with the sound of live music, fashions on the field and cooking demonstrations.

The festival is just part of the event, running right through the last week of October to that first Tuesday in November. This event incorporates not only the Sparkling Wine Festival but also the Business Breakfast and the Corporate Golf Day at Marysville District Country Club, the Gala Dinner and the Australian Sparkling Wine Show.
